Job Description | We are looking to add a Method Development Scientist as we continue to grow our Nutritional Chemistry Food Safety department. As a Method Development Scientist, your daily job duties include development of analytical methods using GCMS HPLC-MS and LCMSMS as well as include the following:
Leads a scientific team to conducts complex and challenging feasibility/development studies.
Implements new techniques and instrumentation to improve operations.
Accepts leadership role in troubleshooting and solving challenging problems.
Assesses interest and feasibility of research projects requiring a high degree of creativity and technical organization.
Directs and conducts both fundamental and general application studies.
Monitors, evaluates, and reviews the scientific performance of assays.
Authors scientific papers, which are published in peer reviewed journals, and presented in scientific meetings.
Performs scientific mentoring activities (e.g.; training study specific techniques, assisting with complex analytical work/problem solving, and presenting technique seminars).
Contributes to long-range planning and technical policies of the department.

Education/Qualifications The Required Education for the Scientist Method Development GCMS /HPLC-MS / LCMS includes:
PhD in chemistry, or equivalent degree. (Relevant experience may be substituted for education)
Experience Required Experience/Skills for the Scientist Method Development GCMS /HPLC-MS includes:
Must have >5 years of experience in Method Development with emphasis on GCMS / HPLC-MS / LCMS instrumentation. Experience with UHPLC and troubleshooting expertise with HPLC instrumentation |
