This individual will be working within the BioMolecular Discovery group to develop and execute biochemical and cell-based assays used to evaluate the effectiveness of small molecule inhibitors for various research projects. The individual will apply biochemical and cell biological techniques and will utilize HTS technology platforms and laboratory automation. The individual will be required to analyze and interpret data, and present their results to peers and to management.
Job Responsibilities:
Biochemical assay development, optimization, and screening of compounds
Cellular assay development, optimization, and screening of compounds
Function as a project representative and interface with other scientists in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Required Skills
Hands-on experience in medium and high throughput biochemical and cellular assay development, troubleshooting and screening
Proficiency in tissue culture , Western blotting and different assay formats such as
AlphaScreen, HTRF, SureFire, ELISA, cell viability and other functional cell-based assays
Hands-on experience in liquid handling devices is a plus
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Required Experience
Experienced BS/MS or Ph.D. with appropriate skill sets and proven experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry (3+ years) |
