Recently, we have signed a five-year broad collaboration with Merck with total funding of $450 million dollars. This partnership has provided a strong validation for NGM as a biologics discovery engine that will generate transformational medicines for unmet medical needs.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Bioinformatician to join our discovery efforts. The candidate would have the opportunity to contribute his/her superb technical skills and scientific expertise towards the discovery of transformational new therapeutics. In particular, we are looking for support and expertise with efforts involving data analysis (e.g. next-gen sequencing data analysis, proteomics data analysis), data mining and database generation to support target discovery efforts at NGM. The candidate must display good communication skills and be able to function effectively as part of a research team.
Requirements
Applicants should be self-motivated and possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in bioinformatics, computer science, or a life sciences-related field and 2-10 years of working knowledge of computational biology, including algorithm development. Knowledge of genomics and proteomics software / platforms and sequence databases is highly desirable for this position. |
