Job Description
We are looking for a scientist who is passionate about exploring the potential for leveraging epigenetics to create life-changing therapies for patients with neurodegenerative, inflammatory, hematologic and fibrotic diseases. This scientist will apply expertise in assay development and implementation to identify, prioritize and prosecute epigenetic therapeutic targets – in a newly formed Epigenetics Hub (EHub) – augmenting in-house expertise in cell-based assays in support of exploratory biology. Implementation of cell-based assays with high-content, transcriptional and/or enzymatic (e.g., reporter) readouts. Familiarity with robotic and data analysis technologies required for cell-based screening.

Qualifications • Experience with implementation of cell-based assays for assessment of impacts of genetic, molecular and/or chemical perturbations on cellular processes
• Experience with use of cell-based assays with high-content, transcriptional and/or enzymatic (e.g., reporter) readouts
• History of collaboration with computational scientists to utilize tools for analysis, interpretation and visualization of cell-based assay datasets
• Knowledge of statistics and data analysis
• Experience with use of cell-based screening database creation and maintenance
• Willingness to engage and ability to coordinate multiple collaborative projects within a cross-functional team environment
• Highly self-motivated, with excellent organizational, and oral and written communication skills
• Experience in training and managing junior colleagues
• Relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals expected in support of candidacy
• Demonstrates independent scientific thinking, and adept in problem-solving and adaptation of protocols
