ImmunoGen, Inc. is in search of an experienced scientist to join our Process Science & Engineering department. The qualified candidate will be responsible for overseeing protein process development, characterization and technology transfer, and to develop scalable chemical conjugation processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a small protein process development group and collaborate with key departments including Analytical, Cell Culture, Manufacturing Operations, Research and Regulatory
Responsible for protein process development, scale up, and technology transfer to Manufacturing/CMOs for ImmunoGen antibodies
Drive process design
Apply state of the art knowledge to advance programs
Use risk-based approaches and DOE as tools for process development/characterization
Mature Quality-by-Design principles and Regulatory trends/expectations into process initiatives.
Design and implement chemical processes for conjugation chemistry
Grow talent and develop people in a collaborative environment
Requirements:
PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering with at least 7 years of industry protein process development and leadership experience in biopharmaceutical processes.
Must possess expertise in protein chemistry and protein purification.
Capable of managing projects and timelines
Must possess Regulatory knowledge including experience with process requirements/trends in CMC areas for IND and BLA filings
