Honeywell Aerospace Advanced Technology is seeking an exceptional candidate to work with a dynamic group of world-recognized technical experts in developing the next generation of optical inertial sensors. The work has broad impact in the rapidly growing field of precision, navigation, and timing.
The successful candidate should have
•2-3 years R&D experience post Ph.D. in cutting edge experimental optics or related field
•demonstrated track-record in innovation, creativity, and problem solving
•strong experimental background with demonstrated capabilities in designing, trouble-shooting, and operating large complex, multi-faceted optical systems
•strong data analysis and noise analysis tool set
•ability to lead tasks and interface with internal and external customers
•deep understanding and experience with system operation and requirements, including an understanding of signal processing, electro-optic systems, and feedback loops
•Prior experience with optical components (modulators, detectors, lasers, fibers, etc), optical techniques (phase sensitive detection, Pound-Drever-Hall laser stabilization), optical cavities, and/or optical sensors desired
•Excellent written and communication skills
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
•Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or Science, Physics, or equivalent is required
•The candidate must be a U.S. citizen, with the necessary background to successfully procure a U.S. security clearance if required |
