Description

Zosano Pharma is seeking highly motivated scientist with expertise in pharmacokinetics (PK) and bioassay development to join the Preclinical Development & Bioanalytical group.

Responsibilities

This laboratory-based position involves designing, performing and analyzing both in vivo and in vitro preclinical PK studies. Proficiency in small animal surgery, in particular rodent cannulation and biological sample collection is essential. Experience with ELISA assays including method development is required. The successful candidate will take a lead role in strategy, design and implementation of all preclinical studies. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

A PhD in pharmacology or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years?experience, or BS/MS with a minimum of 10 years hands-on experience, in the pharmaceutical industry is required. Candidates must have a strong fundamental knowledge of preclinical PK as it relates to drug development, in addition to hands-on experience with in vivo studies. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong drug/device product background. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and to contribute creatively in a collaborative team environment.
