Description
Zosano Pharma is seeking highly motivated scientist with expertise in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) to join the Preclinical Development & Bioanalytical group.
Responsibilities
This laboratory-based position involves designing, performing and analyzing both in vivo and in vitro preclinical PK/PD studies. Proficiency in small animal surgery, in particular rodent cannulation and biological sample collection is essential. Experience with ELISA assays is highly desirable. Experience with method/assay development and HPLC or LC/MS analysis of biological samples is a plus. The successful candidate will take a lead role in strategy, design and implementation of all preclinical studies. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications
A PhD in pharmacology or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required. Exceptional non-PhDs with demonstrated capabilities may be considered. Candidates must have a strong fundamental knowledge of preclinical PK/PD as it relates to drug development, in addition to hands-on experience with in vivo studies. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong drug/device product background. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and to contribute creatively in a collaborative team environment.
