Description:
We seek an experienced, team-oriented researcher that can take a significant, independent role in the following activities
Actively developing cell-based assays for the characterization of anti-fibrotic drugs (and combinations thereof)
Characterization of molecular pathways relevant to fibrosis and target selection
Identification and characterization of molecular biomarkers of drug treatment
Analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data including independent preparation of written and oral reports
Presentation and publication of study results
Job Requirements:
MS in a relevant discipline with 8+ years of post-graduate work experience or Ph.D. with
2+ years of post-graduate work experience.
A proven track record for advancing projects (preferably in an industrial setting) and ability to mentor colleagues.
Significant hands-on experience developing cell-based assays including culture of established lines and primary cells and assessment of multiple end-points including: protein expression, mRNA expression, cell mobility and differentiation, and activation of signaling cascades.
Expertise in the characterization of the disease pathobiology (preferably in the area of fibrosis or other chronic progressive disease state)
Experience in biomarker identification and application in early stage clinical trials is preferred but not required.
This position involves significant in lab experimentation.
