The Role:
The Bloomberg Legal Department is seeking an attorney for its Securities Regulatory Group in New York. The position will require at least 6 to 10 years of applicable experience practicing law.
The attorney will work on regulatory and commercial aspects of Bloomberg's global electronic trading systems, data products and related products and services.
The attorney will be a valued member of a dynamic legal department that is deeply integrated with Bloomberg's innovative global technology and financial information businesses. Practicing in the Legal Department's ""open floor"" office space at Bloomberg's global headquarters, the attorney will collaborate frequently with colleagues and internal clients in an exciting, high-energy work environment.
Qualifications:
- 6 to 10 years applicable experience practicing law
- Member of the New York bar
- Experience practicing corporate and securities law, including practice in a top-tier law firm
- Experience in at least one of the following areas is required: securities/commodities laws, broker-dealer regulation, investment adviser regulation and/or futures/exchange regulation. In addition, experience with and working knowledge of Title VII of Dodd-Frank is highly preferred.
- Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills
