This individual will have the responsibilities for closing the books for all Accountable Care Organization (ACOs) legal entities while assisting management with understanding each partnership’s financial results including comparisons to budget.

These functions include: preparation of the monthly and quarterly partnership revenue, expense and minority interest JEs for all ACO legal entities; assist AVP-Finance with preparation of the monthly ACO GAAP financial package; prepare schedules for all quarterly and annual financial reviews and audits; book ACO consolidation and elimination JEs; answer auditor questions; assist tax department with compilation of annual K-1s.

Proficient computer skills with strong understanding of Microsoft Access and Excel programs and the capability of learning internal report writing software;

Analytical reasoning, problem solving skills and clear communication skills;

Workload prioritization and strict adherence to deadlines while maintaining confidentiality;

Experience with computerized general ledger system

Required Experience

Responsible for preparation and booking of ACO JEs.

Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits: GAAP.

Assist with external auditor review of ACO legal entity financials

Record ACO consolidation and elimination JEs

Provide support for the ACO 10Q and 10K filings

Assist with the preparation of ACO legal entity K-1s

Finance lead for SOX portal updates for financial control documentation and process updates.

Perform/Review ACO Balance Sheet account reconciliations.

Perform equity accounting for all ACO partnerships

Prepare ACO partner financials as required.

Assist with account and report maintenance

Comply with the established rules of operation, procedures, and policies when using company computers, peripheral hardware, and software.

Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

Four plus years related work experience, including two-four years of partnership accounting experience.

Prefer one-three years health care experience and general knowledge of health care terminology. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards, concepts and practices applicable to accounting requirements of the health care industry.
