Job Summary:
LG Chem seeks a Mitsubishi PLC programming expert to work at our state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery production facility in beautiful Holland, MI. This position will be responsible for programming & internal training on the automation and controls systems from various manufacturers (Italy, Japan, Korea) in our lithium-ion battery plant using excellent experience in PLC logic and programming with Mitsubishi.
Responsibilities will include:
•Create, monitor, and modify logic for program design, simulation and testing, start-up, and troubleshooting
•Manipulate these items using Mitsubishi ?Q Series PLC
?Networking with CC-Link & SSCNET III
?Motion control with servo motor(MR-J3) & robot

•Integrate and implement various systems such as: Bar Code & RFID Reading, Robot, Ultrasonic Welding, Vision, Weigh Scale, Gas Sampling, etc.

Qualifications:
•B.S. in Engineering required (Electrical)
•8 – 10+ years of experience in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing assembly equipment, including PLC in a manufacturing and/or automotive engineering environment
•Experience preferred in planning and executing large production lines, PFMEAs, and process control expertise
•Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Bottleneck Analysis
•Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
•Knowledge of Omron is not required, but a plus
•Knowledge of Battery systems or processes a strong plus
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in programming leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, including provide detailed documentation upon troubleshooting completion.
