Summary
EnerSys is the world's leading producer and distributor of industrial batteries for use in the commercial and government sectors and is currently recruiting for its Senior Director, Global Tax position at its global headquarters in southeastern Pennsylvania. This position will report to the VP & Corporate Controller and will be responsible for directing the company's multi-national tax affairs, including the relationships with the company’s external tax partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Advise management on financial statement reporting/disclosure requirements for income taxes under ASC 740.
Manage the company's worldwide effective tax rate.
Identify, develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize worldwide tax liabilities.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and proper accrual of tax expenses and liabilities.
Translate business strategies and decisions into tax solutions and advise management on the associated consequences and risks.
Maintain effective relationships with and manage outside tax advisors.
Assist with government reporting to ensure that all requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Identify and resolve substantive and procedural tax issues, including the interpretation of statutes and regulations.
Provide company guidelines on meeting new tax requirements.
Required Skills
Required Experience
Masters in Taxation a plus and a CPA required.
10 plus years of domestic and international tax experience.
Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm through the manager level.
Comprehensive knowledge of ASC 740 and experience at an US publicly traded company.
Knowledge of current domestic and foreign tax laws.
Supervisory experience - position has three direct reports.
