Senior Electrical Design Engineer-Electromechanical Medical Devices

RBC MedicalInnovations is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team thatstrives to be the world’s best organization at developing analog and digitalcircuitry design for medical devices. There is no such thing as a single-person project at RBC; thesafety-critical nature and complexity of the devices we design require well-coordinatedteams. Successful RBC Senior Electrical Engineers enjoy and value self-managingwith autonomy rather than overbearing managers. Expect a wide variety oftechnical challenges working to invent battery-powered devices, high-resolutionanalog instrumentation, therapeutic energy delivery, high-performance GUIconsoles, and motion-control products, to name a few.

The successful candidate must be intimately familiar with a widerange of circuits, microcontrollers, analog and digital design for embeddedproducts, preferably in the medical device or other electro-mechanicalindustry. You must be able to work well in a structured, FDA-regulatedand ISO 13485-certified environment. There is plenty of client interaction andteam collaboration as we invest greatresponsibility in our Senior Electrical Engineers and fully support thosewilling to make the decisions necessary to advance projects.

Duties andResponsibilities:
•Lead a group of Electrical Engineers during the Design and Development of new, innovative, and complex medical devices.
•Establish technical direction and architect a complex medical device as an Electrical Core Team Lead
•Mentor young engineers to be future team leaders
•Evaluate new technology
•Understand and follow FDA Guidance, Industry Standards, and Company Processes
•Work closely with Systems, Software, and Test Engineers as well as support Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers to achieve project success

Requirementsand Skills:
•Minimum 5 years of experience in Embedded product development
•Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
•Experience with taking product development through the manufacturing process.
•Lead a group of Electrical Engineers in the development of a complex product.
•Enjoy hands-on product design
•Love new product development
•Sense of urgency and ownership
•Extensive knowledge in a wide range of circuits, microcontrollers, analog and digital design for embedded products, preferably in the medical device industry
•Excellent written and communication skills
