Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering skills to transform marketing requirement specifications into commercialized products that meet quality, reliability, manufacturability and cost objectives of each program and project. You will be responsible for developing, designing, qualifying and releasing new products for our current and next generation processing equipment that would revolutionize the thin film industry.


Responsibilities



•Responsible for all design aspects of electrical engineering and manufacturing of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, subassemblies and components
•Work directly with cross-functional, multicultural team to understand and develop system’s electrical and electronic requirements, communicate status and identify and resolve issues related to a variety of systems’ electrical problems
•Develop digital and analog signal design and control, cable harness layout and hardware safety interlock design
•Responsible for specifying and selecting components for the design of electrical control of robotics, motion control, and signal conditioning
•Specify and design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics, and/or detailed drawings/specifications as required by system
•Provide expertise in electrical parts and systems. Ensure suppliers' manufacturing processes and their compliance with standard design and safety codes, and tests are in place to produce reliable products in a repeatable manner
•Initiate engineering changes, and new product releases, that impact the product line
•Prepare documentation for release such as schematic diagrams, test procedures, theory of operation, BOM, instruction manuals and related information
•Coordinate activities between suppliers and development groups to develop and meet products’ technical requirements, cost, quality, reliability and delivery


Qualifications



•BS EE required with a minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience building semiconductor or other capital equipment in a manufacturing environment
•Thorough knowledge of electrical engineering and power design standards, troubleshooting to component level and system engineering
•Experience in control system design, prototyping, troubleshooting electronics, AC/DC sub-system power distribution, grounding power electronics and control, and digital circuitry, robotics, delivery systems; motor controls, linear and rotational motion controls
•Strong knowledge of computer based control systems, PLC based systems, Ethernet, Device-net, RS232, RS485 communication protocols
•Basic knowledge of mechanical and software engineering disciplines
•Strong knowledge of SEMI S2/CE safety requirements
•Strong knowledge and experience of electrical CAD tools
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team
•Good organizational, communication, and prioritization skills
•Must be hands-on with devices and troubleshooting
•RF experience with ICP and CCP vacuum systems is required
•Large substrate experience is preferred
•Must be able to travel internationally for product support
