Job Description | Responsibilities O'Brien & Gere is seeking a senior level geologist / hydrogeologist to work on complex investigation, remedial design and remedial action projects primarily within New Jersey. Candidate must be able to use high quality technical analysis to assist in developing cost-effective and practical solutions to environmental problems.
Skills and Qualifications 10+ yrs experience in environmental consulting
LSRP license required; professional certification (CPG, PG or similar) highly desired
Experience in NJ environmental investigation/remediation projects under NJAC 7:26E,
SRRA, and ARRCS; including working knowledge and interpretation of regulations and guidance documents for all regulatory phases and submittals (PA/SI/RI/RA/Post-RA OMM) for soils and groundwater
Investigation / Remediation of impacts related to industrial activities including chemical and pharmaceutical production facilities and commercial facilities
Ability to manage and provide oversight for field programs / field and junior staff
Experience with current remedial technologies for soils and groundwater
Understanding of groundwater geochemical processes and experience with Monitored Natural
Attenuation (MNA) as it is used design post-remediation monitoring networks, support CEA filings, and groundwater remedial action permits
Responsibilities include developing bid proposals; and preparing data presentations and reports.
The ability to work effectively both independently and in corroboration with staff / project teams involving engineers, scientists and support staff is required.
