Lexington Insurance, a member of chartis, has an opportunity for a Senior Mainstream Claim Examiner in its Claims department.
Will be responsible for a pending of approximately 125 complex Primary Casualty claims.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Managing complex litigation and coverage matters
Interpreting service contracts with risk transfer / defense and indemnity obligations in mind
Formulating / documenting claim handling and resolution strategies
Crafting high quality coverage position letters
Working closely with Defense Counsel to ensure 100% compliance with Chartis Litigation Guidelines.
Position Requirements
Candidate will preferably have 7-10 years of experience in the handling of complex General Casualty claims.
Position Requirements:
Periodic travel to attend mediations and trials
Experience in complex claims, including coverage issues and contract interpretation
Strong communication skills, written and oral, as it involves frequent communication with underwriters, insureds and brokers
Strong computer skills.
