Job Description
Description:
Individual will support the endoscope manufacturing departments by providing engineering support to assembly and repair areas with a focus in products using electronic / software technology. Incumbent will devise engineering solutions to assembly challenges, and to help introduce new products and processes to the endoscope assembly and repair areas.
Samples of the duties include:
Determine from engineering data what part drawings and operations are necessary for the assembly and repair of complex medical products, plan the sequence of operations, estimate the time required for each, and write operation sheets.
Oversee implementation of new or improved manufacturing methods, standards, testing, procedures, tools, and equipment designs to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and achieve the most economic / high quality manufacture of products.
Maintain assembly and repair records for endoscope products.
Train assembly and repair personnel.
Investigate possible labor and or component cost productive gains.
Identify and develop assembly tooling.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering with five years experience in the manufacture of intricate medical instruments.
Knowledge of electronics and software engineering.
Organized self-starter with a work history of demonstrated measurable results.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of ISO, Lean manufacturing, SPC’s and process improvement tools.
Experience working with computer based manufacturing systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Must be able to transfer thoughts into words to create clear and informative assembly documentation.
