Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
Summary:
We seek an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support new product development and orchestrate new product transition into manufacturing for our Government & Industrial Robots Division.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties:

Provide fabrication process expertise for mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, components and assemblies.

Design and develop assembly tooling as required.

Perform BOM analysis.

Identify Sole Source/Single Source concerns.

Manage part EOL issues.

Perform DFx analysis at all levels of the product, identifying opportunities for assemby improvement and cost reduction.

Create DFx reports and metrics.

Analyze manufacturing processes and their impact on products manufacturing parameters.

Supplier analysis, identification, qualification, and implementation.

Review, create, and support product/process documentation as appropriate.

Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.

5+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering on established product, NPI of system level products, and process/product improvements.

Broad manufacturing experience with electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical products.

Demonstrated analytical problem identification and solving skills.

Working knowledge of VALOR DFx software preferred.

Track record of successfully transitioning products into manufacturing (contract manufacturing preferred).

Process cost analysis/modeling exposure.

Military product experience a plus.

SPC/DOE/Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing tool skills a plus.

Proven project planning, scheduling, and management skills.

Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
