Major Function:
Maintain, modify, and install capital equipment for production and facilities. Support and provide technical assistance for all equipment and processes. Attend and lead discussions for improvements in assigned areas. Complete, assign, and follow up on project related items to report to the engineering team. Concept, design, and construct equipment modifications to improve manufacturing processes.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage capital projects while controlling costs and timing milestones.
- Design mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using engineering and design methods by means of AutoCAD and/or Solid works software.
- Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
- Develop and maintain Master Equipment List.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
- Maintain current layout of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Determine spare parts inventory for production and facilities equipment.
- Support plant-activity to increase efficiency, reduce waste, downtime, and cost.
- Provide direct technical support to plant maintenance department.
- Provide technical and procedural answers for less experienced team members, teaching improved processes, and mentoring.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results when required.
- Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods, testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Works with Engineering Manager to develop and recommend capital budget.
- Comply with Company’s principles, policies and programs.
- Lead capital projects and the resources needed to complete the projects.

Minimum requirements (experience, background, education):
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or technical discipline, plus at least five (5) years’ experience in engineering with a design background.
Organizational Relationships:
- Accountable to the Engineering Manager for all phases of activities.
- Advises, consults, and coordinates with all the other engineering staff. |
