Zosano Pharma is seeking a highly talented Principal Scientist to join the Pharmaceutical Development group as an analytical chemist.
Responsibilities
This laboratory-based position focuses on analytical characterization, method development, method validation and release of formulated drug product, intermediates, starting materials to support clinical and CMC drug development. The candidate will serve as an analytical group leader working with cross-functional technical development teams including Process Development, QC, QA, Preclinical and Bioanalytical to resolve pharmaceutical development issues. The successful candidate will use state-of-the-art technology, including HPLC, ultra-high-pressure LC, MS, KF, DSC/TGA, FTIR, UV, dissolution as well as myriad of automation instrumentation.
Qualifications
A PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry or related field) plus a minimum of eight years experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong device / drug product background. Candidates must have a strong fundamental knowledge of analytical chemistry as it relates to drug development, in addition to hands-on experience with chromatography and other core analytical techniques. Candidates should be motivated to work in the laboratory. She/he should be able to work independently and to contribute creatively in a collaborative team environment. |
