Senior Bio-Process Engineer / Scientist
Are you looking for a new challenge? If so, we have just the opportunity for you! In this role, your primary responsibility will be the development of processes for the upstream production of therapeutic proteins within Merrimack’s pipeline. You will be working with bioreactors ranging from 1L to 100L in size to improve the manufacturing process of Merrimack’s clinical and pre-clinical programs. This role will also assist with internal and external technology transfer activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field. A candidate with a M.S. plus 4 years of experience will also be considered. Experience in mammalian cell culture process development is a must. Especially desired are enthusiastic, flexible, and results oriented people who like the challenge of working with a variety of teams in a multi-tasking environment. Equally important are strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit and solid experience with common computer programs.
Desired skills include, but are not limited to the following:
Operation of bioreactors from 1L to 100L in scale
Aseptic cell culturing techniques
Bioreactor controller tuning and optimization
Mammalian cell culture process development
Application of DOE to process development
Statistical process control
Experience in GLP environment
Experience with disposable bioreactors, media development, depth filter clarification, HPLC, and GMP training are a plus |
