Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Senior Process Engineer to join our Product, Process and Development (PPD) department located at our Bedford, OH facility. As a Senior Process Engineer you will report to the Manager, Process Development and Technology Transfer. This position is responsible for driving the successful development, transfer, and life-cycle management of new products, existing development products, and new technologies to ensure successful production and release of clinical and commercial materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for partnering with development scientists and the operations department to ensure technical excellence from lab scale through commercialization of new products.

Supports new product assessments and the generation of appropriate experimental designs during the planning stage for scale-up and technology transfer.

Develops robust pharmaceutical systems that will deliver quality technology transfer portfolios to minimize regulatory deficiencies.

Responsible for process risk assessment, design, scale-up, process improvement, and validation readiness of formulation, filling, terminal sterilization, and lyophilization operations.

Develops, reviews and approves protocols, reports, batch records, procedures, Critical process parameter justifications, risk assessments, and project schedules to ensure successful project execution.

Interfaces with Engineering, Validation, Production, and customers to troubleshoot existing development products and support new product transfers.

Leads an innovative effort to identify, evaluate and implement new technologies that will improve the quality and cost efficiency of parenteral manufacturing operations and processes.

Since its beginning in 1938, Ben Venue Laboratories has been involved in the manufacture of a wide variety of sterile diagnostic and therapeutic agents for both human and veterinary use.
