Job Description | KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation’s Longview mill is strategically located in Longview, WA. KapStone's Longview mill is a major producer of kraft paper packaging and is one of the highest-capacity and most diverse paper mills in North America. KapStone also has a West Coast network of well-equipped corrugated container plants in four states. The Longview mill manufactures more than 70 grades of kraft paper and containerboard, and supply a broad range of corrugated packaging and solid fibre slip sheets.

JOB SUMMARY
Plans and designs complex business processes and system modifications. Makes recommendations to improve and support business activities. Responsibility for independently and objectively directing and managing work efforts of a project team, ensuring proper controls and processes are followed, and to meet established function, quality, cost, and schedule goals and objectives.? Successfully implement Kapstone Way methodology.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gathers business requirements through a variety of techniques such as work sessions and interviews
•Analyze and document complex business requirements and processes and presents these requirements to multiple stakeholders
•Establish and manage Microsoft Project Plans that include detailed work breakdown structures and critical path
•Provide time estimates and monitors schedules and budget variances for multiple projects
•Adhere to established corporate change management procedures
•Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel
•Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•BS and 8 + years or equivalent
•PMP Certification is required
•Expert knowledge of working with on-shore/off-shore model
•Expert knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools and the software development life cycles
•Ability to utilize extensive project management experience to act as the team's primary interface between IT and the business sectors
•Ability to manage project issues, conflicts, risks, and deliver projects within budget and scope
•Ability to negotiate and deliver quality solutions to customers and develop process improvements where applicable
•Ability to effectively relate his/her technical expertise to varying organizational needs; knows when and how the technical content can be legitimately tailored to fit different departments and customer needs.
•Ability to apply a mature and diplomatic approach to prioritization tasks and conflict resolution
