Under minimal supervision, the Sr. Research Scientist's primary responsibilities are involving the conduct and oversight of complex research and development projects to create new bioanalytical methods, enhancing existing methods, and transferring client-provided methods. Additional responsibilities include consulting with clients, training of other scientists, troubleshooting of instruments and method performance, and preparing technical reports and papers.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
PhD in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related field, or
Equivalent cumulative years of direct professional experience with a lower degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Direct hands-on experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis using
Immunochemistry or Chromatographical technologies
Strong foundation of knowledge in biochemical sciences is essential (including sample preparation using liquid/liquid and solid-phase extractions, optimization of chromatographic separations, use of derivatization chemistries to enhance chromatography and/or detection)
Ability to operate and master complex analytical instrumentation is a must
Working knowledge of FDA GLP regulatory requirements is expected
Good verbal and written communication skills are required |
