| Job Description | Bel-Ray Company, Inc. is an international, US based specialty lubricant manufacturing company providing lubricants for the food and general manufacturing industries, the mining industry and the consumer motorcycle market.
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Research and Development Chemist. The Senior Research and Development Chemist position is tasked to manage new product formulations.
Specific responsibilities for this position will include, but not limited to:
Performs studies in order to achieve the development or reformulation of lubricant products.
Acts as Team leader for Research and Development projects, which result from successful New Product Development submissions.
As project leader for the development of new products, coordinates team meetings, developing the project work plan and completing all associated requirements.
Performs the testing required for product development.
Works directly with manufacturing personnel to schedule and participate in pilot manufacturing studies, pilot batches, etc.
Responsible for a complete research and development report for each project.
Provides technical support and coordination of new mining product formulation field trials.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry.
Advanced degree preferred.
Significant work experience with lubricant manufacturer.
Significant experience in developing and reformulating lubricants.
Knowledge of basic lubrication and lubricant manufacturing, testing, formulations, applications and packaging.
