•Use OFM for reserve evaluation and production forecasting
•Responsible for reservoir engineering associated with assigned areas
•Responsible for Reserve distributions and economic evaluations in assigned area for proposed projects
•Evaluate properties for pressure maintenance and waterflood feasability design and makes recommendation
•Assist in reservoir engineering matters in non-assigned areas
•Mentor entry level reservoir engineers
Engineering
•Prepare detailed studies of producing properties, and determine ultimate primary and potential secondary recovery
•Prepare valuations under various methods of operation and submit recommendations regarding future operations, development drilling and remedial work
•Recommend collection of additional specialized reservoir data, fluid sample analysis, pressure data and other information necessary to evaluate reservoirs
•Review reservoir studies prepared by consulting firms and other operators
•Make follow-up studies of previous reservoir reports
•Prepare studies to investigate methods to recover additional reserves by improved operations and/or enhanced recovery. Submit recommendations and economics to justify implementation of project
•Advise from a reservoir engineering standpoint on operational activities
•Study other operators' projects where data obtained will be of value in analysis of company exploration and development projects
•Perform and interpret open and cased hole petrophysical evaluations.
•Make recommendations to geologist for logging programs for new wells
•Make recommendations to production engineer for selection of diagnostic production logs
•Interpret core analysis - Conventional and advanced
•Have understanding of reservoir characterization and interpret / incorporate simulation results
•Determine Original oil and Original gas in place and calculate remaining reserves
•Understand phase behaviour and use in material balance calculations
•Understand drive mechanisms and how they relate to recovery
•Perform decision and risk analysis
•Perform single well nodal analysis and assist with network nodal analysis
•Recommend and interpret pressure transient evaluations
•Work with completions engineer and make recommendations for completion type and selection of perforations
•Have thorough understanding of well tests and their application
•Perform DCA & Economic analysis for single well & projects (multi-well).
•Assist with booking of reserves
•Research well histories & well files in order to understand all prior well work.
•Have thorough understating of all geologic map types.
