Senior Scientist -- Thin Film ElectrochemistryRequisition number: 121911-01
Job Description
The Thin Film Senior Scientist supports the development of solid state lithium electrochemical devices (electrochromic and battery) and their transition into manufacturing. Candidate must be able to resolve tough technical and logistical issues in the development of solid-state device processes and products. Communication skills are critical, as the candidate will be expected to status progress as well as develop new program and product opportunities.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in materials science, i.e. solid state physics/chemistry/chemical engineering, with 5-10 years experience in the area of solid state electrochemistry and devices
Experience in the development of new material chemistries, processes/synthesis using wet chemical and/or physical vapor deposition methods highly desired
Familiarization with process development and controls methodologies as applied to pilot scale and manufacturing in web-based chambers is preferred
Good analytical and diagnostics skills at thin film interfaces and surfaces
Must be capable of leading, mentoring, and training others in the pursuit of the established internal technical objectives and goals as well as effectively responding and interacting with outside clients and customers
Must be well organized and disciplined in maintaining schedules and budgets
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status is required.
