20/20 GeneSystems, Inc. (Rockville, MD) is seeking a senior scientist with a demonstrated record of conducting and managing development in the area of biomarker assay development. Candidates should have management experience developing and commercializing cancer diagnostics in an industrial setting, with significant knowledge of immunoassays, tissue based diagnostic assays and bioinformatics.

The right candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of diagnostic company R&D, with a heavy emphasis on project management, clinical studies and validation work. He or she must have been involved in at least one successful IVD or LDT product launch (either CLIA or FDA approved).
He/she will play an important role in the development of technical strategies, be a critical thought leader for the development and commercialization of multiple new products, and be responsible for leading the development program.

Job Requirements
Ph.D. (or equivalent) with at least 5 years’ experience in assay development and product commercialization is required. Demonstrated skills in team leadership, direct supervision, and successful leadership of project teams.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytic skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to present at scientific meetings.
•Familiarity with proteomics, and/or multi-analyte testing is preferred but not required.
•Experience in oncology, solid tumors, histology, immunohistochemistry and/or personalized medicine desirable.

The tests are based on Layered Immunohistochemistry, L-IHC, a proprietary method for analyzing proteins in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue. The L-IHC technology is very versatile and allows multiplex detection of different proteins and their activation status in cell signaling pathways using small amount of standard tissue biopsies.
