Summary of Responsibilities:
The responsibility of this position is to review structural designs, perform structural life prediction studies and validate new combine structures. This role will deliver product analysis to achieve optimal performance, reliability and quality to reach cost, weight, and serviceability targets for on-schedule release to production.

Summary of Duties:

· Use analysis technical expertise and experience with off-highway machinery to coordinate the development of reliable combine structures to ensure target component lives are attained.

· Responsible for leading combine engineering fatigue analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) activities.

· Responsible for correlating fatigue analysis with physical prototypes. These efforts may involve coordinating test stand design, test stand creation, & ensuring proper test methodology.

· Assist in the development of structural concepts utilizing design reviews, field testing, and lab testing

· Lead engineering design teams as project requires.

· Responsible for delivering required product analysis to reach product targets in reliability, weight & cost targets.

· Coordinates cross-AGCO, multi-site design & testing activities to ensure product meets agreed engineering specifications.

· Assist project manager with documentation of AMPIP engineering specifications & required project status presentations for respective combine product programs.

· Assist team with creating product engineering specifications.

· Assist team in preparing concepts, designs, development, and feasibility studies of complex engineering projects related to structural design.

· Keep up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the area of structural design and analysis software to allow for the development of innovative product designs to gain competitive market advantages for AGCO.

· Potential to travel to suppliers, production plants, dealerships, customer job sites and field test locations to support engineering projects and problem resolution.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a 4-year accredited university

Proficient using Pro-E, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is required.

Proficient in using FEA software, preferably Ansys

Proficient in using Fatigue analysis software, preferably DesignLife

Required Experience/Abilities:

Strong leadership ability and good communication skills

Strong Analysis experience with off-highway equipment

Strong Fatigue Analysis experience with structural steel

Ability to work with diverse people

Minimum 8 years experience in engineering analysis.

Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate positive attitude

Good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts

Ability to work in a dynamic environment

Experience with Dynamic Analysis software, LMS (formally DADS)

Desired Experience:

Direct experience with agricultural equipment

Mobile Chassis design experience

Knowledge of Composite Material design

Special Job Dimensions:

Travel will be required on an as-needed basis (Less than 10% predicted).
