Responsibilities for this position include evaluating, selecting and pricing commercial insurance policies for designated agents to ensure profitable growth. The person in this position must successfully manage relationships with agents in support of the company's marketing strategies and coordinate loss control, claims, audit and billing services to maintain a book of business which meets Acadia standards and expectations. This position will act as a team lead for a small group of underwriters and underwriting assistants. This includes managing the performance and development of team members including coaching and development of trainees; providing direction in the areas of productivity and quality of work; and performing personnel administration for the team including hiring, salary administration, performance management, discipline, training, and communicating company policies. |
