| Job Description | We are currently building our research team with the addition of a Senior Research Associate or Research Associate. This position will play a supportive role in our reproductive cell biology programs, with responsibility for designing and carrying out experiments to advance these critical projects. This person will also manage the setting up and continued operation of our tissue culture and wet bench laboratories. Overall, OvaScience is seeking a creative scientist with substantial cell biology and tissue culture experience and the ability and desire to take on the challenges of our cutting edge IVF technologies.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
As a bench scientist within our research group, will design and execute laboratory experiments and work with other R&D group members to ensure effective integration and communication of research results
Responsible for data analysis and interpretation relevant to the project, writing reports and presenting data to research management
Manage laboratory operations, including ordering, day-to-day operations and longer-term planning for the tissue culture and wet bench laboratories
Education and Experience Required:
M.S. or B.S. (or equivalent) in cell biology, biochemistry, endocrinology or a related field
Prior industry experience in biotechnology research is preferred
Experience in one or more of the following areas: cell biology, reproductive biology/endocrinology, cell signaling, or stem cell biology
Exceptional laboratory skills and the ability to complete projects in a timely manner and with the quality required to meet company goals
Strong organizational skills and experience managing a lab
Ability and desire to work in a highly team-oriented environment with the flexibility to adapt readily to changing research needs |
