Description
Blowout Tools, Inc., a Superior Energy Services Company, specializes in furnishing rental tools such as blowout preventers, choke manifolds, spools, adapters, flanges, piping, and downhole valves and nipples for drilling, workover, high pressure workover, coiled tubing, snubbing, blowout, and ultra-deep water and horizontal drilling operations. BTI is currently seeking a Service Operator – Level 2 to join our team. This position will be considered a functioning level in the field with full accountability in defined work scenarios with service supported equipment, proficient in three or more of the work scenarios, cold cutting, core drilling, diamond wire cutting, hot tapping, gate valve drilling, freeze services. The Service Operator Level 2 will interface with level 3 Operators to gain the experience and expertise to perform scenarios not yet proficient in. Interface will be with BTI Service Department, and other management positions in the assistance of gathering important market information. They will also interface with the customer both internally and externally will be to ensure a good understanding of the expectations and the requirements of the task. The Service Operator Level 2 will mentor trainee level and Level 1 employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to the policies and procedures of the company
Pass all required Safety and Well control required programs to be present on well site locations
Has competed all operational training and requirements for the above work scenarios defined
Assist in assembly of job preparation and testing at BTI location and job execution with mentor at the well site location
Assist in disassembly and maintenance of service equipment at BTI location upon return from job
On location training at BTI facility with all equipment to be versed in its operation and design
Responsible to be available to respond and participate in all service supported job opportunities
Responsible to learn and fulfill all reporting requirements as concerns the job itself as relates to charges as well as database information for each application
Know and apply all WWC/BTI HSE policies
Use Stop Work Authority"" when safe and unsafe or environmental unsound conditions could lead to an incident impacting health, safety, or environment
Conduct and/or participate in pre-job meetings and document JSAs.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Recent practical experience and proficiency in three or more of the work scenarios: well head servicing, flowback, cold cutting, core drilling, diamond wire cutting, hot tapping, gate valve drilling, freeze services is preferred
Excellent comprehension of Mechanical Operations and communication skills is required
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office. Preferred experience using Excel
Availability to travel locally and potential of traveling domestic and international
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
