Job Description | Job Description: Oversees, plans and coordinates the daily operations, logistics and administration of a rabbit polyclonal and breeding facility.
Major responsibilities include:
Perform / coordinate all small animal treatments
Management of technical and husbandry staff
Daily communication with veterinary staff
Facilitate the animal inventory record keeping
Perform / coordinate inventory and compliance of facility PPE, order inventory and supply items as needed
Facilitate the process for quarantined animals paperwork and compliance
Coordinate technical training programs
Ensure that all operations are in compliance with existing policies and procedures, Manufacturing work instructions, and cGMPs
Observe safety regulations and practices
Perform other duties as required
Requirements: Minimum of five years industrial experience in a pharmaceutical, diagnostic or medical device facility. Experience and working knowledge of BSL 2 facility regulations required. Experience in an AAALAC accredited facility a plus. AALAS certification preferred.
Additional requirements include:
Proficient in animal handling specifically rabbits
Good verbal and written communication skills (English) and basic math skills
Knowledge of cGMP/ISO manufacturing operations required
Ability to give directions, train others and communicate effectively
Windows-based computer and data input skills required
Education: Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
