| Job Description | Overview:
The Sourcing Leader will be responsible for developing supplier relationships, designing cost reduction initiatives, finding new supply sources, and establishing LTAs.
Responsibilities:
Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
Interview and hire staff, and oversee staff training.
Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in business or related discipline
5+ years developing supplier agreements
5+ years purchasing experience
Proven ability to design and implement cost reduction productions
Knowledge of machining, metals and industrial products
Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking and organizational skills
Desired:
Certified Purchasing Manager
APICS Certification
Previous experience in the aerospace industry |
