Sr. Director, Capability - PPM Job

Position Description:

Build a strong program / project capability within AIG GS.

Maintain a pool of senior program / project management resources.

Ensure the right mix of levels of program and project managers within AIG GS.

Assign resources to manage all IT driven projects and large (>$100 million) business driven projects

Manage on-boarding of program / project management resources (contract and permanent).

Track the pipeline of programs and projects (provided by Portfolio Management) and ensure adequate supply of Program / Project Managers to meet the projected demand.

Establish and maintain the supply profile for programs and projects resourcing.

Establish a Project / Program Management community within AIG GS.

Ensure the Program / Project Manager community is trained on AIG GS Program / Project methods, processes and tools provided by the PPM CoE team.

Support the PPM CoE Manager in establishing and maintaining a certification and training curriculum for Program / Project Managers.

Ensure and track the delivery of PPM training, certification, mentoring, and job experience opportunity.

Track Program / Project Managers’ performance, expertise levels, training and certification (talent management).

Provide people leadership to Program / Project Managers reporting into the PPM organization.

Deep experience in leading and developing Program / Project Manager capability for large organizations / programs.

Ability to build enduring partnerships across multiple areas of the company and with external constituents.

Technical

Experience and proven record in building program and project capability frameworks, processes and teams in alignment with IT vision, mission, frameworks and in line with
AIG processes, policies and procedures.

Able to provide both thought leadership and tactical delivery.

Ability to think out of the box.

Financial acumen

Program and project management expertise, from small to large programs and projects
