The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) functions as a field based member of Medical Affairs. MSLs are scientifically trained professionals with strong scientific and clinical background in hematology and/or oncology. Under the direction of Medical Affairs Leadership, MSLs engage in fair balanced and compliant scientific and clinical interactions with Key Opinion Leaders and other healthcare professionals.

· Provide medical and clinical insight, based on observations in the field, on appropriate strategies for product development and investment
· Primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing IST
· Assess potential research sites to determine the site’s ability to successfully complete an IST or company sponsored trials
· Contribute to publication planning by being responsible for informing Medical Communications/Publication Planning of publication status of key studies
· Develop new and cultivate ongoing collaborative relationships with investigators and the thought leader community
· Respond to and document unsolicited requests for CTI clinical development pipeline
· Interface with KOLs at their practice site, key scientific meetings and congresses (ASH, ASCO, Cooperative Groups etc.)
· As directed, appropriately communicate with key oncology organizations, and guideline developers such as USON, NCCN, ASCO, ASH, and Cooperative Groups to ensure they have access to data and information needed to make appropriate recommendations on product use and engage in research with CTI products
· Serve as resource to sales and marketing teams on clinical issues and market intelligence.
· Respond to requests from HCP interested in obtaining data and information on CTI products
· Provide clinical and scientific support in Medical Affairs booth at scientific meetings
· Prepare internal reports from key meetings, on data, clinical advances and the relevance to CTI
· Provide medical perspective on the commercial environment
· Mentor and provide leadership to new and junior MSLs
· Familiar with all Pharma, OIG and regulatory guidelines directing the conduct of MSLs in the field and actively engage in compliance training
· Awareness and understanding of advances in the treatment of oncology and relevant technology
· Engage in educational opportunities that will allow professional growth

Experience & Education:
· MSN, R.Ph. or equivalent required. Medical/scientific degree such as a MD, Ph.D. Pharm.D (advanced degree preferred).
· Minimum 8+ years (4+ years with an advanced degree) in a pharmaceutical company as a MSL, working with oncology/hematology compounds is required.
· Product launch experience preferred.
· Incumbent must have demonstrated: UNDERSTANDING OF COMPLIANCE and GCP; skills essential in making sound decisions; ability to communicate, interpret and report on scientific and clinical findings and professionally interface with KOLs.
· Strong presentation skills including ability to present data to investigators, clinical practitioners (nurses, PA, pharmacists, physicians, formulary committees) and CTI sales and marketing teams are required.
· In addition, the ideal candidate must have an aptitude for working on cross functional teams including sales, marketing and clinical as well with academic centers to implement action plans as required.
· Requires travel up to 50%, and may include weekends.
