Interface with Tax clients to understands their business strategy and define and implement a product strategy for a named set of custom developed/vendor integrated software products.Set the direction for the future of a next generation of Enterprise Tax tools, in line with business and IT objectives.Lead a group of new enterprise products through its lifecycle, including setting directions for next generation products, along with decommissioning existing tools.

Work with business users to define their needs, specify requirements for new product releases, lead cross-functional teams to prioritize and plan new releases, and manage ongoing system issues.

Develop a network of relationships with teams in ITS, including other groups focused on similar products and services, to ensure optimum delivery and use of technology approaches.

Participate in the assessment of various technical solutions and design in order to adopt the technical framework and tools that deliver the greatest level of features and functionality for that particular capability.

Manage and produce release schedules. Work with project management to update schedules and project plans for regular project reviews with clients and leaders.

Conduct regular, formal communications to insure that National Directors of Technology are adequately apprised of project statuses, successes and issues.

Attend and as needed, lead project review meetings. (This includes producing user updates, priority setting and communications.)

Ultimate responsibility for product quality, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction.

Engage with various ITS functions to resolve problems as they arise; Responds proactively to both business and project issues and escalates appropriately.

Work with customers users to define, track and improve key metrics that represent how well the portal and connected enterprise systems meet objectives.


8 years of IT experience in the areas of solution design and delivery. Prior experience managing customer relationships and solutions management required. Tax customer relationship experience a plus.

Experience delivering Enterprise application solutions (7/24 availability, 1,000 users+) required.

Experience with documenting business and user requirements preferred. Must have experience working with the development/technical teams in defining and documenting
requirements for specific product enhancement and implementation projects.

Must have in-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle.

Bachelor's degree required.

Prior experience combined with proven ability to manage a variety of projects and project teams with varying levels of complexity to successful completion.

Experience interfacing with both internal and external software design and development vendors preferred.

Experience providing executive level briefings for project stakeholders, both internal and in the client organization.

Excellent written, verbal analytical and communications skills required. Must be able to easily grasp and communicate complex ideas. Ability to work productively with all levels in a large organization.

Must be able to effectively manage scope of projects and the expectation of the project stakeholders.

Expert problem solver. Finding simple answers to complex questions or problems. Thinking outside the box. Uses knowledge gained through prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers.

Drive for results. Motivates team while constantly driving towards key milestones. Maintains constant awareness of project deliverables; keeps team focused on short and long term milestones; aware of project budget.

Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients (internal and external).

Ability to travel minimally required, up to 20%.
