Job Description
Senior Product Manager MetraTech empowers organizations to embrace change through a unique, agreements-based billing and compensation solution that is relationship-driven and supports fluid, individualized and interrelated agreements across customers, suppliers and channels. Our customers can automate business processes and quickly monetize any business model for faster time to revenue. We are headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA, with offices in London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and San Francisco. This position will be responsible to influence, shape, drive and champion future software product enhancements based on customer and market needs. You will work directly with internal / external customers and suppliers to gather information, test information and assumptions, and define specifications for future enhancements. This position will have a deep engineering focus and work closely with the Product Committee to set direction and timetable of updates. Once approved, will work closely with Engineering to drive delivery of features to ensure the delivered product meets the business requirements. This position will report to the Director of Product Management.

Responsibilities include:

Planning and Execution

Gather input from customers, understanding pain-points as well as their company direction & strategy. Will interview and receive input from internal stakeholders, advisors, system integrators, external customers & partners.

Perform technical product analysis of competitors to aid in product definition.

Maintain requirements needed to go to market and customer traceability.

Drive the decision making process by analyzing all candidates (features, enhancements, releases) to be considered and for each provide cost to develop (estimate from Engineering); sales benefit (from Sales); other benefits (including intangible ones such as customer satisfaction benefit and marketing benefits).

Prepare Proposal for Release timeline and its associated features.

Identify risks associated with plan and risk mitigation possibilities.

Develop publish and communicate release plan schedule.

Regular communicates and updates Product Committee.

Business Requirement Specifications for MetraNet product

Define product requirements (PRD) for technical engineering team to build and test to
functions and features; capabilities; operational and system characteristics (Performance,
Scalability) and Platforms, where applicable.

Responsible for clarifying requirements as needed by Development, QA and
Documentation/Training.

Review and approval of PRDs (from Engineering, Sales, Pre-sales, etc)

Own Product/Feature Deprecation & End-of-Life decisions

Decide when and why it is time to end of life a particular feature or product.

Ensure this is communicated to all stakeholders.

Communication

Will participate in MetraTech Product & Roadmap Strategic presentations to customers, partners; and industry analysts.

Responsible for roadmap and release presentation material

Represent organization at conferences, forums, etc on thought leadership

Provide necessary technical and business material needed by Marketing and Sales on aspects of the product

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Engineering with a MBA or Master’s in Engineering greatly preferred. Five (5) years minimum as a product manager Five (5) years minimum as a software engineer Experience designing and understanding enterprise architecture and software integration. Experience in SOA architecture and Web 2.0 technologies a must.
