Medical Devices & Diagnostics Global Services, LLC., is recruiting for Staff Process Engineer to support the Vistakon franchise, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. This position will be located in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Staff Process Engineer will lead efforts in MAKE engineering for specific material and contact lens brands. This will include projects related to quality, rolled throughput yield (RTY), and cost improvement projects (CIP). In addition, the Staff Process Engineer will partner with other departments to complete process validations and new product introductions. Make engineering projects will involve partnerships with cross-functional teams including: Franchise Operations Development (FOD), Research and Development (R&D), Quality Assurance (QA), Regulatory Affairs (RA) and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). The Staff Process Engineer will use knowledge of scientific principles, process excellence and problem solving to solve manufacturing issues and improve manufacturing performance. The Staff Process Engineer will be expected to make decisions based on data and to implement sustainable process solutions to enable manufacturing to meet business objectives. The Staff Process Engineer will also be expected to provide technical guidance and leadership for other engineers in the organization.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline is required; a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred; a minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of four (4) years working in a GMP environment such as the medical device, medical diagnostics or pharmaceutical industries is required; a strong working knowledge of statistics and statistical software is required; prior experience in medical device validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and new product commercialization are preferred; a demonstrated ability to meet business objectives and lead people, processes or projects is preferred. This position will be located in Jacksonville, Florida and may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
