Under general supervision, reviews and evaluates complex collision liability claims to identify subrogation potential. Recovers monies paid for damages from responsible parties such as uninsured or underinsured motorists and other carriers.

Worker characteristics are normally acquired through completion of a general high school education, 1 - 2 years of undergraduate studies and 6 - 12 months related Company experience.

General knowledge of Company policies and procedures, with emphasis in claims or subrogation operations.

Written and verbal communication skills to effectively and professionally correspond and negotiate with claimants, attorneys, etc.

Analytical ability to identify information in support of subrogation and determine action plans to ensure recovery.

Requires occasional exercise of independent judgment in negotiating settlement of subrogated claims.
