We are breaking ground to build a brand new facilility and have started to hire for key positions.

Details of the Position:

The qualified candidate will be responsible for supervising the Chemical Laboratory engaged in performing chemical and physical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of products. This position will have a key role and will be responsible for the startup and daily operation of the chemical laboratory which will support the manufacturing process at our new Focus Facility. Establishes goals, and schedules and coordinates laboratory administration, including purchasing and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies. Ensures that all activities are in compliance with organization goals and applicable regulations.
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business, department and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and department or business plan; receives guidance from manager. Provides technical guidance to employees and/or customers.

Requirements:


Ten or more years of Chemical Laboratory experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred. A minimum of a B.S. in Chemistry is required with ten or more years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial environment. Prior supervisory experience is also highly desirable. Familiarity with metals/alloy analysis and knowledge of X-Ray Fluorescence, Optical Emission, and ICP-Mass Spectrometry would all be highly desirable as well. The candidate will be expected to relocate/train at the Reading Plant until the PPFF Chem Lab opens in January, 2013.
