Supervisor/Senior Supervisor, Granulation

Job Description
Purpose:
Responsible for the direction and coordination of single shift teams; focusing results in the timely, effective, and economical manufacturing, packaging and shipping of products in accordance with production budgets, quality, safety standards and all regulatory requirements.

Typically has one or more senior machine operators and/or junior level supervisors with direct reporting relationship.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure that all products are manufactured and packaged according to Quality standards and product specifications through daily review and approval of batch records, packaging documents.

Directs and coordinates the activities of department operators through the development of shift plans, walk around management and daily shift reports.

Trouble-shoot problems on the shop floor and conducts investigations for events and incidents reporting/resolution.

Operation of ERP, Word, Excel and Power Point programs

Participates with Materials Management, QA, Tech Services, and Finance in the execution of production plans and projects to meet forecast needs.

Establish, maintain, and continually analyze production and packaging, control and documentation procedures to assure departmental compliance with current Good
Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), improve yields, or reduce cost.

Develop, train and motivate hourly personnel to maximize job performance through skills development, employee education and assessment.

Review the production planning and prepare the daily planning to achieve the production targets.

Prepare the new SOP and Work instructions also able to review and rewrite the SOP and Work instructions.

Keep track of the preventive maintenance plan of all machine and tracking of the calibration requirement of all instruments.

Work Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in various aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Solid and working knowledge of cGMP regulations and safety procedures.

Ability to write and articulate observations with clarity.

Demonstrated ability to ducument and follow instructions without deviation.

Basic packaging methods and procedures.

Education:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Science (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field) preferred
