Job Description Summary

Work with suppliers and purchasing dept. to ensure quality of incoming parts through regular audits, identify opportunites for improvement and ultimately improve Hydro-Gear efficiency and customer success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administer supplier quality program. Frequently travel to suppliers to understand their processes and controls, verify controls are executed as planned, communicate issues encountered by Hydro-Gear and work with them directly to improve processes and part quality. Provide executive summaries to Hydro-Gear regarding supplier quality-related performance. Obtain and maintain supplier process control information. Work with purchasing department and suppliers to resolve major quality issues as necessary. Maintain systematic reporting for suppliers on their quality performance.

Education And/Or Experience

B.A./B.S Degree from 4 year college or university; and five years minimum work related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience. Current Drivers License. Travel up to 50% of the time 5 years experience in quality or engineering. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Sense of urgency Proven leadership abilities, self-starter with a can-do attitude.
