Include collecting information regarding demand requirements for clinical and commercial finished product, and translating this information into a time-phased production plan that is disseminated to the department SC head. Manages the logistical details required for clinical shipments, maintaining inventory level plans for assigned investigational drugs, managing detailed logistics with contract clinical distribution and clinical packaging and labeling facilities. Responsible for managing the detailed schedules, ensuring adequate raw materials (including labels, cartons, etc.) and finished goods clinical inventory, distribution and procurement for CTI products to ensure supply and demand (clinical needs) are appropriately balanced and inventory levels are set to ensure uninterrupted product supply at efficient economic costs. Work closely with SC department to ensure all plans are reviewed and executed in-line with budget and schedules. Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturing operations. Establishes and maintains a program of supplier performance and continuous improvement measures.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in management, logistics, science or equivalent is required with a Master’s degree preferred. APICS Certification in CPIM, CSC or CPM is highly desired. Minimum of 5+ years of supply chain and/or procurement experience (prefer 8+ years), with at least 5 years in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry. Experience managing a virtual supply chain (3rd party manufacturing/vendors/contract service providers) to support multi-sites, multi-countries for clinical studies and clinical supply operations. Experience working with an integrated enterprise level planning system. (SAP, Oracle EBS, etc.) and/or clinical management systems |
