This position will be responsible for spin transfer oscillator, TMR, CPP GMR thin film and process development under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
?Principle Duties and Responsibilities
?Develop advanced TMR, CPP GMR and spin transfer oscillator film process.
?Conduct experiments to improve the thin film properties and processes robustness/consistency.
?Sustain, improve and transfer processes for future products.
?Responsible for the selection and qualification of new tools.
?Interact with vendor and maintenance personnel on hardware issues.
?Job Specification and Requirements*
?Three (3) to five (5) yrs experience in magnetic materials, thin film preparation and characterization is required. A PhD Degree in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
?Experience in CPP GMR/TMR thin film development is preferred.
?Strong background in magnetism and materials properties is desired.
?Excellent communication skills to convey engineering issues to other groups.
?Experience in thin film head, magnetic recording or semiconductor wafer processing helpful.
?Work Schedule, Conditions and Physical Requirements ***
This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday. Regular work schedule may periodically be adjusted to meet company needs. A significant amount of time will require the individual to work in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer fab manufacturing facility requiring adherence to safety and dress standard, including but not limited to bunnysuits, safety shoes, glasses, latex gloves, etc.
