| Job Description | Aggressive Tooling is seeking a Tooling Engineer that is excited about mechanical design, thrives on solving problems, and is detail orientated. The candidate will work with a strong team of other Designers and Engineers to design implement, and document custom-built machines that weld, gauge, and perform leak tests on exhaust systems.
Salary and Hours
Wages range between $25 and $32 per hour, contingent on skillset
Vacation time negotiable
We allow flexible hours and workweeks currently average around 50 hours
Duties and Responsibilities
Design of manual weld, leak test or gauge stations (Performed by an individual person)
Design of automated weld, robotic, leak test or gage stations
Design Integration of pneumatic cylinders, linear bearings, manual and automatic clamps
Design Integration of electrical components such as proximity sensors and safety devices
Populate Tooling and standard BOM's
Project management
Skills
Strong mechanical thinking and problem solving
Team player willing to learn new ideas and share past experiences
Strong written and verbal communication
Detail orientated
Ergonomics knowledge
GD&T Knowledge
Knowledge of tool steels and applications
Experience in machine design
Software: SolidWorks 5yrs experience minimum, Microsoft Office 2010
The following skills are preferred, but not required:
AutoCAD
Familiar with document management software (EPDM)
Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a mechanical engineering program with 2 years in field experience or 5+ years related experience in the field. Automotive manufacturing background preferred. |
