GreatBatch Medical is a leading developer and manufacturer of deep draw metal enclosures for implantable medical devices and other demanging applications. It’s Tooling Development Group is seeking an experienced Toolmaker. The primary purpose of this position is to repair and construct multi-stage progressive tooling. This position will be responsible vertical mill and lathe CNC programming optimization, CNC set up and machining and CNC programming. This position will also be responsible for EDM operation and set up along with production CNC support and troubleshooting.
Essential Functions of the Job
· CNC programming and operation.
· Processing tooling components.
Troubleshooting and repairing tooling.
· Being a team player with strong mechanical aptitude.
· Reading and interpreting blueprints (GDT).
Position Qualifications
· Education/Experience: High School Diploma and Journeyman card, documented apprenticeship or certificate in tool and die.
· Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: Ability to troubleshoot tooling and insightful corrective action. Ability to effectively use general tool room equipment. Experience building and servicing progressive tooling.
