Job Description
Set-up and operate equipment to efficiently perform job. Understand the use of measuring tools and the calibration requirements. Offer input on how to improve the operations. Record how much time is spent on each job. Modify CNC programs as needed. Must have a full understanding of CNC operations and equipment. Must understand use of different cutters and possess ability to determine correct feeds and speeds for those cutters. Produces acceptable number of parts in established time frames. Check finished dimensions to four place tolerance. Follow the daily schedule. Follow the guidelines for the verification system. Able to perform basic inspection prior to heat treating. Must be capable of making simple jigs and fixtures. Must be able to make complex set ups. Must be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to understand and perform to job-related quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting as required. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings. Must be able to locate, diagnose and correct problems in equipment and systems utilizing test equipment and/or prior work experience. Must have basic math skills; prefer knowledge of algebra and trigonometry. Must be able to train other employees as required. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must be detail oriented. Must be able to work all shifts including holidays and weekends. Must be able to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication. Must be able to work 50 hours per week, however, schedule may be adjusted according to business and operational needs. Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes. High School diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent experience required. Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
