Alteris, a subsidiary of Argo Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Underwriter in our Boston, MA office.
Responsibilities
•Review, underwrite and price applications and endorsements
•Secure additional underwriting information
•Negotiate terms
•Development of programs
•Day-to-day involvement and audits
•Potential for Travel up to 25%
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree preferred
•Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
•3-5 years Commercial Lines underwriting, preferably multi-line, countrywide
•Proficient with MS Word and Excel
•Strong in forms analysis/comparison
•Program background
•Rate filing background a plus
